This is a love novelette between a black boy and a white girl, set in 1948 in a small village of Alabama.
This moving story tells about an interracial thwarted love, a poignant story befallen in a period when it was absolutely forbidden to establish any kind of fair relationship between blacks and whites.
The leitmotiv of their love story was like all fantastic fairy tales telling about lots of difficulties and obstacles before achieving a true love and enjoying it. It was an emotional story, with plenty of sentiments, a long term life project and the mutual promise to stay together forever.
A true love going beyond their skin colours was actually what inextricably bounded them together. They were well above of those stupid discriminations which wanted humanity distinctly divided into two racial classes: whites and blacks.
The secret of the stability of their love story was the sharing of a common though: love is an energy that brings forth a kind of alchemy which excludes race differences.
